Founded in 1986, Aztech Systems is an established group which consists of Multicom Business Unit (MBU), Contract Manufacturing Business Unit (CBU) and the Internet Business Unit (IBU). MBU manufactures and markets high-speed comm products such as ADSL Modems, ADSL Routers and Analog Modems, while CBU and IBU cater to the high-growth Contract Manufacturing and Internet business markets respectively
1986
  • Established Aztech Systems in Singapore

1988

  • Set up R&D Department

1990

  • Established Malaysia Sales Subsidiary, AZ-Technology Sdn Bhd

1991

  • Completed the construction of the Aztech Building which has its own office and factory facilities

1992

  • Established Germany Sales Subsidiary, Aztech Systems GmbH and US Sales Subsidiary, Aztech Labs, Inc.

1993

  • Received Pioneer Tax Status from EDB
  • Received S$8.5 million grant from the NSTB
  • Produced the one millionth sound card
  • Achieved 17% world market share for sound cards by Dataquest
  • Ranked as top three sound card producer in the world by Dataques

1994

  • Launched Initial Public Offer of its shares in the Singapore Stock Exchange
  • Set up manufacturing facilities in Dong Guan, China
  • Established Hong Kong Subsidiary, Aztech Systems (H.K.) Ltd
  • Ranked as the second largest sound card producer in the world with 25% market share by Dataquest
  • Achieved world market share of 7.7% for video cards

1995

  • Set up manufacturing facilities in Batam, Indonesia
  • Formed semiconductor design subsidiary, Azfin Semiconductor Pte Ltd
  • Ranked as the second largest sound card manufacturer in the world with 37% market share by Dataquest
  • Singapore operation received ISO9002 certification and BABT approval

1996

  • Completed the new Aztech annex building
  • Batam, Indonesia operation received ISO9002 certification by SGS Yarsley Certification Services

1997

  • Singapore operation obtained ISO9001 certification by PSB
  • Ranked as the third largest modem supplier worldwide by Dataquest

1998

  • Enter into the contract manufacturing arena with the establishment of Azuno Manufacturing Pte Ltd
  • Aztech Dong Guan manufacturing facility in China received the ISO9002 certification and BABT approval
  • Enter into the Internet arena with the establishment of ThatWeb.com Pte Ltd
  • Ranked as top 5 largest modem supplier by Dataquest
  • Ranked as second largest sound board manufacturer by Dataquest

1999

  • Expanded product offerings to include Graphics and Speakers products
  • ThatWeb.com receives Research and Development Assistance Scheme (RDAS) grant from NSTB
  • Announced new structure with three business units; Multimedia Business Unit, Contract Manufacturing Business Unit (Azuno) and Internet Business Unit(ThatWeb).
  • ThatWeb introduces Uni@ddress, world's first innovative web address book
  • ThatWeb signed partnership with first ISP, CyberWay
  • Entered ADSL arena with launch of ADSL products
  • Launched the New Corporate Logo to usher in the New Millenium.

2000

  • Azuno became an independent Business Unit
  • Expanded product offerings with launch of Networking products
  • Set up joint-venture, Net2Room.Com, to provide Broadband Internet connections to the hospitality industry
  • ThatWeb introduces Wap.Mail, the first of many ThatWeb's Mobile Office range of products
  • ThatWeb expanded its Shanghai office in China
  • Announced the launch of DSL Turbo 900E, the first ADSL modem that is sold directly to end-users in Singapore

2001

  • MBU renamed as Multicom Business Unit to reflect its focus on high-speed communication products.
