Graphic Function

The 64-bit S3 Graphic controller chip provides the user with the Bit Block Transfer, Hardware Line Draw, Rectangular Fills , Clipping, Raster Operations, Image Transfers, Color Expansion and HARDWARE CURSOR. S3 VIRGE controller chip provides 3D graphic engine.
upgradeable to the 4M EDO RAM.
Supports Windows 95 PLUG and PLAY.
Supports Windows 95 DDI (DIRECT DRAW INTERFACE ) protocols.
Supports DDC1/DDC2B (Display Data Channel) rules.
Provides a 32 Bit PCI Bus interface.
Complete compatibility with VGA, EGA, CGA, MDA standards.
Extendible text mode: from 132x43 to 132x25 pixels.
BIOS supports VBE/PM and VESA DPMS power saving functions.
Supports Virtual Desktop functions, which allow emulation of resolutions as high as 1600 x 1200 pixels, thereby allowing the user to access multiple applications simultaneously.
Provides Bird View (Panning) and Zooming function, which can be activated from the Virtual Desktop by the mouse keys.

Automatically identifies whether the system is CD-I, Video CD, KARAOKE sound-vision optical disk files.
Supports partial or full screen playback.
Supports NTSC and PAL MPEG 1 image protocols with resolutions of 352x240 (30 fps) and 352x288 (25 fps) respectively.
