Graphic Function

The 64-bit S3 Graphic controller chip provides the user with the Bit Block Transfer, Hardware Line Draw, Rectangular Fills , Clipping, Raster Operations, Image Transfers, Color Expansion and HARDWARE CURSOR. S3 VIRGE controller chip provides 3D graphic engine.
Supports Windows 95 PLUG and PLAY.
Supports Windows 95 DDI (DIRECT DRAW INTERFACE ) protocols.
Supports DDC1/DDC2B (Display Data Channel) rules.
Provides a 32 Bit PCI Bus interface.
Complete compatibility with VGA, EGA, CGA, MDA standards.
Extendible text mode: from 132x43 to 132x25 pixels.
BIOS supports VBE/PM and VESA DPMS power saving functions.
Supports Virtual Desktop functions, which allow emulation of resolutions as high as 1600 x 1200 pixels, thereby allowing the user to access multiple applications simultaneously.
Provides Bird View (Panning) and Zooming function, which can be activated from the Virtual Desktop by the mouse keys.
Provides enhanced Graphic drivers such as AutoCAD R10-R13, AutoShade, 3D Studio 1.0-4.0, Microstation PC 4.0/5.0, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.1/3.5, and optional OS/2.

TUNER Function

The user can purchase a MTV card which supports the following standards PAL-B/G, PAL-I, PAL-D/K, PAL-M, PAL-Australia, NTSC-USA, NTSC-JAPAN, PAL-Italy, SECAM and more television systems.
Provides Channel scanning and channel number retention, automatic setting, channel fine tuning, OSD window display, hotkeys, and if desired, a completely Chinese display function.
Provides image contrast, brightness, color, and saturation controls.
Provides stereo sound, SAP (Second Audio Programming), mono sound , mute controls.
Provides an "Always on Top" or an "OVERLAP" feature ( So that you view the television and do your work or monitor the TV), or you can use the entire screen to watch videos or television.
Can capture a single frame from the movie at a resolution of 640 x 480 or a continuous set of frames with a resolution of 320x240 pixels at 15 frames/sec or a resolution of 160x120 pixels at 30 frames/sec.
Provides on-screen OSD functions. (ON SCREEN DISPLAY)
A total of 250 channels can be received, including antenna reception and cable.

MPEG Function

Completely compatible with MPEG (ISO CD11172) and Philips CD-I protocols.
Supports MPEG Layer 1 and Layer 2 sound standards.
Video CD, KARAOKE, MPEG optical disk files can all be played.
Automatically identifies whether the system is CD-I, Video CD, KARAOKE sound-vision optical disk files.
Supports partial or full screen playback.
Supports NTSC and PAL MPEG 1 image protocols with resolutions of 352x240 (30 fps) and 352x288 (25 fps) respectively.
Provides an MCI driver.
