MegaStar KT-8200
PERMEDIA 2 AGP Display Card

Features Highlight:
 The on-chip
geometry setup unit is a 100MFLOPS OpenGL and Direct3D compliant setup
processor, designed to break the 3D bottleneck on PCs that are unable to
saturate KT8200's rendering capabilities.
 The
graphics processor unifies 3D, 2D and video operations into the same processing
pipeline.
 Hardware
accelerated 3D 16-bit Z-buffering, Gourand shading, and texture mapping.
 AGP is
Intel's high performance, component level interconnect targeted at 3D display
applications which uses a 66MHz PCI specification as a baseline.
 The KT8200
memory subsystem uses Synchronous Graphics RAM (SGRAM) to supply the
memory bandwidth needed for 3D operations and display update. (Display memory:
4Mb SGRAM, with socket for expansion to 8Mb.)
 Support for
the input and output of digital video.
 The VESA
VMI standard is used to connect video modules, such as a TV encoder or decoder,
to the primary garphics controller.
 A minimal
number of parameters may be configured at reset by resistor attached to the
Video Streams data port.
 Flash
ROM supported. (Flash-BIOS for quick and easy upgardes.)
 Stereo
functionality on KT8200 is controlled via the VideoControl and ScreenBaseRight
registers.
 Incorporates
a high performnace 230MHz RAMDAC.
