Co., Ltd. Launches K7KX-A VIA® Apollo KX133 mainboard
with ATX form factor, consisting of North Bridge of VT8371 and South
Bridge of VT82C686A. Such new chipset is the first of the kind to
incorporate with 2GB of the latest high-speed PC133 SDRAM and VC133
DRAM. This Slot A mainboard provides the ultimate chipset solution for
maximizing the industry-leading performance of the AMD K7 processor (Athlon),
delivering first-to-market support for high-throughput AGP 4X and PC133
SDRAM.
With its 200MHz Front Side Bus, this VIA Apollo KX133
mainboard features the High-speed processor bus ever for desktop PCs.
According to VIA, the Alpha EV6-based double-data-rate highly scaleable
asynchronous bus design optimizes the performance of the processor bus
speed from 100MHz to 200MHz, delivering twice the throughput of 100MHz
Pentium III-based systems.
Together with 4X/2X AGP slot, this new board supports
the latest high-performance graphics bus technology on the AMD Athlon
processor platform. The ATA-66 interface on the board helps boost system
performance, delivering maximum sustained data transfer rates of
66MB/sec.
General features included Keyboard Power On, Modem
Ring-in, and Wake Up On LAN have increased the versatility of the Power
On feature. The system includes Hardware Monitoring design, which allows
users to self-diagnose and set CPU temperature, CPU fan speed and
voltage. Also, one MIDI/GAME port and the Audio Jack (line out, line in,
and mic. In) is available for multimedia applications.
