Based on Intel®
810-DC100 chipset, P681-Ae+ ATX mainboard brings technologies of STR,
ATA 66, 3D Graphics, AC97 Audio and 100 MHz FSB.
Structured on Slot 1 design and 100 MHz system bus
platform, Tekram P681-A+ motherboard supports Intel® Pentium II/III
up to 733MHz and CeleronTM CPU up to 500MHz internal
frequency. This P681-A+ mainboard is equipped with Intel® 82C810-e
chipset and integrating 3D AGP Graphic Accelerator, AC97 Audio
Controller, STR and MC97 modem upgrade through AMR; all are to provide a
cost performance solution.
Tekram P681-A+ mainboard is based on the ATX form
factor and the Intel® 810-DC100 chipset, which consists of the
82810, Graphics memory Control Hub (GMCH) north bridge, the 82801, I/O
Control Hub (ICH) south bridge, and the 82802, Firmware Hub (FWH).
Supporting for 100/66 MHz system bus processors, it brings
next-generation processor technology to the Mainstream PCs. And, with
100 MHz display cache support, it also delivers another truly
next-generation feature set which is integrated 3D AGP graphics engine
with DVD hardware acceleration, AC97 Audio and SB-Link to support for
Sound Blaster Pro and FM synthesis legacy audio.
Tekram P681-A+ supports the new ATA 66 interface
which increases the IDE hard disk performance up to 66MB/Second data
transfer rate. Two 168-pin DIMM Sockets support up to 512MB SDRAM memory
capacity for intensive computation. It supports PC-100 SDRAM as well. In
the meantime, Modem Ring-in, Keyboard, Mouse Power On and Wake Up On Lan/Modem
have increased the versatility of Power On feature. An Audio Modem Riser
Card (AMR) slot is provided to support the inexpensive MC97 compliant
modem adapter upgrade. Also, built with 5 PCI and 1 PCI/ISA slots, the
P681-Ae+ maximizes I/O expandability, and the Hardware Monitoring design
allows users to self-diagnose CPU temperature, CPU fan speed and
voltage. On board I/O feature like MIDI/Game Port is available for game
applications. In addition, a daughter board supports digital video
output to TV output or panel link output is optional.
Most important, the features of STR (Suspend to RAM)
and ACPI BIOS implementation allow these boards to use the
"Instantly Available" technology. The "Instantly
Available PC" is to reduce huge power dissipation while the PC
sleeps in the STR state. The PC can quickly resume, in matter of
seconds, to the previous operation, and offers "deep sleep yet
communicating" ability.
